10-4. Where can I find info to back up this claim?
Just be mindful that a dealership may not always have your best interests in mind.

The incentive protection is only for the customer who ordered the vehicle.
Is the incentive protection plan something we had to opt into at time of order?

Got this from my sales guy today. I will ping him more tomorrow about what the SmartVincent system actually said. I want to know the actual incentives and rates I could get (assuming I "qualify"). I am not going for these other options, but was curious as to what level of tint comes with the MachE since I live in TX.

"It’s my day off today but wanted to let you know that my inventory manager verified that your order unit is on schedule to arrive sometime btw 10/14 - 10/20.

As far as the ‘Ford Options’ plan, you are eligible for those incentives as long as you qualify for it.

If you would like the standard protection package of $1499 that gets added in to every vehicle once it arrives, we can do that(lifetime warranty of your standard window tint, door edge guards, nitrogen filled tires, & wheel locks) or all of the above items with ceramic tint for $2999"

Ceramic tint is a good idea for the windows, but those prices and products the dealer listed there are a ripoff. I got ceramic tint from a local shop on all of the side windows and the hatch window for <$500.

I did not add tint to the pano roof (it doesn't need any more tinting and already has a low e coating) or the windshield. My Premium already had the Infrared Reflective (IRR) windshield coating.

The rear and back windows have pretty dark tinting built in. It's not a separately applied film so nothing special to 'warranty' there.

The panoramic roof, if yours has that, is very darkly tinted and has other coatings built in that block nearly all radiative heat.

No tinting on the front side windows.

Here's a less expensive way to get the green valve caps, if you're a "do it yourselfer." ?

You can sell the remaining 26 caps from this pack at a steep markup for "nitrogen" apparently.

Thanks guys! Yes, the dealer installed stuff seems like a rip-off. I get that they are trying to make money, but it is unnecessary stuff for me. I am really glad to hear the standard tint is pretty good. I think that is what my wife has on her '17 Expedition and it totally works. I did not opt for the pano roof. I am not a big fan of light coming in from above while I am driving. My wife's Expedition has huge sunroof, and we take that vehicle on any family excursions, and honestly, I forgot it was even there. We never use it, and when I've tried it in the past, I generally close it after a few minutes. I like my shade. :) But I get that pano roofs are super fun for lots of folks. It was nice on my '22 to be able to opt out and save ~$1.5k.

Hi,
My Premium was built last week (yeah!) and ETA here is 10/25 (which I take with a grain of salt). So I'm starting to get a handle on the Ford Options option now.

Would you be so kind as to look in Smart Vincent and see what the current Options bonus is, if anything? I ordered the car 1/8/22 if that makes any difference.

Our dealer, Mullahey Ford, Arroyo Grande, said they weren't sure they were going to offer the Options plan as the previous one (and their first) "didn't end up so well." I'm speculating that the buyer paid off the balance before the 90 days needed for the dealer to get any rebates.

Is it correct that the dealer doesn't have to offer Ford Options? They've already agreed to x-plan pricing.

Thanks in advance for your help.
Hey Reid, sounds like we are both at Mullahey. I just spoke with Charles and he said they are still working on getting the training for Options. Hopefully, they will have it figured out by the time our cars arrive. Although from the sound of it, there is no way they are going to arrive by their ETAs. Maybe a week or two late?

Hi Road, Yes we are at Mullahey in AG. Yeah, a delayed ETA is the most likely scenario.

My sales guy emailed me today the quote below along with:
  • Form for Title registration to fill out ahead of time
  • request for PDF scan for insurance, and drivers licenses
  • A link to get "pre-approved" for their financing.
I like all of this ahead of time stuff. Car is supposed to be here as early as this Friday...but could be next week

He said "Yes sir as stated in the text yesterday you are eligible for the 'Ford Options' plan along with the incentives at the time of ordering the vehicle as long as you qualify."

Now, I just need him to tell what those are!! :) According to autobytel, it's only like $500, but I don't know what the rates are.

Getting ready for delivery soon here in Washington State. Considering the Options plan for financing depending on incentive/rate.
Any strategy as to how much down payment. Not sure if there is a limit. Seems there was but may not be now. Would love some advise.

If you have a cashback/rewards credit card, put as much as they'll allow on credit. For me it was $3,500. Each dealer sets its own limit.

You'll need to decide if you prefer a 36 or 48 month loan, and what your anticipated annual mileage will be. These choices determine the balloon/residual amount.

Playing around with numbers in my calculator, I found that a significantly larger down payment won't make a tremendous impact to the total amount you'll pay over the life of ownership. This is largely because of the balloon payment. You're paying interest-only on it for 35 or 47 months. Your larger down payment isn't decreasing the amount of that balloon, so it's relatively large sum of interest is unimpacted by your choice of down payment.

Last time I checked the max down payment is 45% of the purchase price (except in TX and MD).
