Hi all! I have a 2021 Mach-E Premium e4 (Job 1) and I’ve noticed some strange issue with what seems like a potential CV issue.

Regardless of when using regen or actually hitting the brakes, the steering wheel shakes. It seems to only happen with the brakes when I lightly press them, if I press them hard, it doesn’t seem to shake. With regen, if I let off lightly, it doesn’t seem to shake but if I let my foot completely off the accelerator, it shakes. I also noticed a humming sound/slight vibration feeling when going around curves (only when the curve has me going off to the left- doesn’t happen on curves going more towards the right). I haven’t noticed any visible build up on the rotors either.

I do have an appointment scheduled with a ford dealer next week but just wanted to see if anyone has experienced this.

Mine used to do that when the rotors were thin/warped. Replaced them and the brakes and that shake is gone, now replaced with a shake at 65 to 75 that can be just barely felt, but seen if youtake your hand off the steering wheel, my steering wheel shakes constantly at 65-75 but with 2 fingers on it you can't see it, only feel it. Because I have Eibach springs the local stealer said "your car is modified, that's why'. I've yet to bother more with it.
But if you've tried the '65+ mph, toss it in N coming off the freeway and get on the brakes hard' technique to wipe the rust off the rotors it's possible it's: 1. warped rotor(s) 2. pad material stuck to rotors 3. hub nut no longer torqued to spec (I found 2 of mine were not., 1 front one rear. After torquing to spec the vibration was more noticable) 4. half shaft 5. CV

thank you! I will try the neutral method.

There is also a TSB for my vehicle on brake pad material stuck to the rotors so I’ll mention this to the dealer when I bring it in.

I think, that TSB is over. Either way I had my pads replaced, and they turned them again (final time they could) and it was stuck material 2 weeks later. And it never rains here, and I don't wet the rotors when washing the car. Still stuck. So I went with carbon/ceramic pads all around. *not dealer installed
