We're expecting FordPass and Keypad functionality even without a BCM update? Presumably we should also be able to run the routine to enable the button in sync if feeling impatient.

It does. You should get all but the button on the Sync screen. That requires the next Sync update.

Update to 6.7.0 last night on the '21 First Edition.

But no Frunk button on the app. I did kill and re-launch FordPass. Does it take something on Ford's back-end before the app will show the button?

6.7 just added the functionality to the car. Now you have to wait for the Ford servers to re-inventory your car before the button will get added to FordPass. The next update will probably push that along.

I just upgraded to 6.7.0 yesterday. 2021 First Edition. Still no frunk button under settings in SYNC. Not that I really care, since that's such a stupid place to nest trunk and frunk access that it is not convenient to use.

I've had frunk access in FordPass for quite a while. Evidently I received some sort of update at the dealership many months ago, and then Ford eventually switched something server-side to finally enable that. I have at least used this a few times.

I’m so happy that my frunk button is still there.

Yes, I think the Forscan fix is posted here somewhere.

6.7.0 broke my frunk release. Worked just fine until now. The button is there, but it reports an error opening. Thanks for the upgrade, Ford.

I'm pretty sure my 12v battery died during my 6.7.0 update. Came back to the vehicle and couldn't open the doors, but I managed to boost the 12v battery which allowed me to open the doors. I was met with an error stating that the update was unsuccessful and that my vehicle is now undriveable and to contact Ford relations to go from there.

Pretty bad way to end my day.

You'll need a BCM update from your dealer. You probably missed getting it done during the 21P22 program.

This is a very late 2022 GT-PE, built in October 2022. 21P22 wouldn’t apply.

That aside, you’d think the OTA logic would be smart enough that if my BCM wasn’t ready for an update that I’d be notified before a push and OTAs would be suspended. How ironic that an update that was supposed to enable frunk-specific functionality broke my perfectly-functioning frunk.
