This issue has occurred twice on my 2021 Premium Extended Range AWD. A year ago, after fast charging at an Electify America, my transmission would not engage and I got the Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power After Fast error. I tried several times to put it into reverse with no luck. I waited around 30 minutes, then was able to get the car to move. Before we headed out we stopped at a drive through, and the car stopped again. Luckily after a few minutes, I was able to put it into drive and we made it home. We had not taken it on an extended trip since then.
Until this weekend. My wife took the car on a trip and charged at a Tesla charger and the same issue came up. After charging would not move. After 30-40 minutes It moved for a bit, then stopped again. This time we towed it to a dealer. The next day they checked it out, but it drove fine and they could not find an issue.
Is anyone else having this issue? Is there something I should be avoiding? I am now reluctant to take the car on long trips.
