Pre-Collision Assist Light comes on randomly

I see a lot of threads on here about Pre-Collision Assist not available warning but my issue is different. About a half dozen times now, I've noticed that the Pre-Collision Assist light will be on for no reason. The manual suggests that this light should be flashing but it is just steady on and stays on for several minutes before going off on its own. In every case, there was nothing anywhere in front of or around the car that could have triggered the light; no sudden acceleration or deceleration, not approaching a car in front or me or a car close behind. There is no audible warning. All sensors are clean. Just seems to be a software bug (I'm presently on 6.1.1 but it did it in previous versions too). Anyone else have this issue?
