Sigh, it never ends with this car it seems.

This morning while driving I received the "Pre-Collision Assist Not Available" error and now that warning light is staying on. Checked my DTCs and I see a pending DTC in CCM B142E:78 "Forward Looking Sensor Horizontal Alignment Alignment or Adjustment Incorrect" . This seems to be pointing towards the radar, and not the front facing camera.

I wonder what is triggering it? I didn't hit any bumps on the road this morning. I have no blockages on the front. Anything I could look at before I drop it off at the dealer?

Yes, radar bracket may have moved or gotten broken off. This can happen when people catch the chin lip on a sidewalk, hit a severe pothole, or from other front end damage.

I ran the alignment procedure, but even after that the CCM reports the same DTC, so either the CCM is faulty or something is up with the bracket as you suggest.

Oddly the error popped up just as I turned off my seat and steering wheel heating. Not sure if it was coincidental or not.

Hi Jack! I can look into your Mach-E's error message concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Mach-E's VIN?

I get the pre collision system failure regularly, but it always resets fine. Going to let the dealer have a look at it.

Heard from the dealer and it looks like my CCM module is bad. I'm concerned I have an electrical issue somewhere in the car, since the error seems to have popped up around the same time I turned off my seat and steering wheel heaters. But I guess, only time will tell if it gets fried again.

I don't thing the CCM issue has anything to do with the heaters. Just coincidence.
