How do I know if the pre-collision assist actually does work? Two months ago, a giant goose landed in front of my Mustang Mach-E 2023 while I was driving near a golf course with a lake. I had no time to react and hit the bird. The car did not stop or slow down either. I took the car to the shop and after 2 month waiting, they finally got the parts and replaced the front shutter and re-calibrated the car. I took the car and on the way home noticed that audio went silent for a split second and came back. This repeated again multiple times. To test the pre-collision assist, I drove towards an empty cardboard box at 5 MPH and the automatic breaking did not work. It did work on reverse gear, however. Took the car back and they calibrated and then on third try they reset it to factory settings. I still have same issue. Today, I went to the dealer again and they said they would need to replace the IPMA module.
Question: are there any other ways to test the system? Once I get the car back, how do I make sure that it works as it supposed to? Should I have them test it with box again?
