Hello all.... We decided to give it another try again so we are going on our first long distance trip to SoCal from NorCal tomorrow since the first HVBJB failure in Dec. 2021 that was catastrophic for us and left us stranded for days at Christmas.
Past 2 years we drove ICE vehicles for the same trip and don't want to spend the gas money, we are going about 7 hours away and have a little PTSD....
Would it be better to pre-conditioning the battery prior to the fast charger or not to avoid risk too much power/heat? We have only DCFC a total of 10-20 times in the 94k miles since we had the car and it was not for long trips.
We are ok with taking a bit longer to avoid any issues, we are even taking a different route (99) to avoid the grapevine on I-5.
