SoCal Dealer Recommendation for 12v Battery Replacement?

Hi! My 2021 Mach-E is currently at my usual dealer for the front camera fault and tire rotation at 60k. I asked them if they could replace the 12v battery since it was already going to be there. They quoted me $549. I know its complicated to get to, but seems a bit steep. Based on other forum members, I was expecting to pay in the $200-$300 range.

Anyone make a recommendation for a dealer that will replace it at that range? Or am I just going to have to bite the bullet?

I just had my 3 year maintenance done including replacing the brake fluid and the 12 volt battery. The total was $412 and I paid for all of it with points but this was in Atlanta.

Nice! Sounds like a deal compared to the $549 for just the battery & install I was quoted

My dealership has been great. I have had all sorts of problems since I got the car - February 2022 although it's a 2021. Mostly computer issues. I think it helps that I have a good relationship with the service manager who also has a MME so he is familiar himself with all the quirky stuff that goes wrong. He ordered a new screen (the big one) for me in October and it still isn't here. He said that anything that is a documented issue now will be corrected after my 2/25 warranty expires. I wrote a detailed email to him to document everything in writing.

can you say which socal dealer is this? i’ll be looking to replace mine at some point so curious who is fair in the LA area.

also wondering if when they check yours, if it is below standard charge levels, if they replaced it under warranty

I don;t know how much my dealer would charge. The service manager actually replaced it for free because he was looking into other issues I was having and found the battery was weak. I'm under warranty until early February
I don't know where in SoCal you are located but my service is at Fiesta Ford in Indio.

I Just had my 12V in my 2021 replaced at Fiesta Ford in Indio. All in cost about $190.
