Pre-conditioning the battery - before charger

Hello guys
I set off with a cold battery to the 150kw fast charger 15km (18 minutes) away.
In the factory navigation I set the destination to Ionity charger.

When I charged it it started at 50kwh and dropped to 44kwh.
(I only charged for 4 minutes - I wanted to try it out)

I should be able to condition the battery by the time I get there, right?
Or was that time too short?
Did the battery stay cold and that's why it only charged so much?

What was your state of charge? The charging curve drops the amperage as it rises to 100%.

It's impossible to know, depends on how fast you are driving and how cold it is, heat is also shared with the cabin.

If you had the cabin heat on while driving, it won't do a whole lot in only 18 minutes. Battery was still probably cold.

Just think of a stove a really beefy electric burner is 3 or 4 kw, how long does it take to boil (granted that's 100c) a big pot of water. Now your cars heater is probably 5kw and your battery weighs a couple of hundred kilograms and and it's moving, lol.

OP: Something else you can do if you have enough SOC to easily reach the Ionity charger is to start your MME 10-15 minutes before you actually leave (not the same as setting a departure time). Set your destination to the charger and activate your route (with cabin heat off). Car will start to pre-condition the battery with the car just sitting there. I have two MME's and have done this with them sitting in the garage during the winter to keep HVB temperature warm, especially if we aren't driving them due to weather or enjoying time off from work. Just a suggestion in case you need to do this again.

Néhány napja volt egy HVBJB hibám, és átprogramoztak és frissítettek néhány modult.
Valaki azt írta, hogy csak ezután rakódott be ennyivel.
Most ugyanarra gondolok, ami velem történt.
Maximalizálták a töltési sebességet.
