Hello all. My first real DCFC trip yesterday with my 2022 ER AWD. Ford Nav is not active I was using ABRP (premium), and, about 2 miles from my first Tesla supercharger destination, the interior heat went to "HI". Outside temp was 53F.

At the charger, beginning at 18% SOC, the car was accepting 150Kw.

Was this Pre-Conditioning? Android Auto was running, also.

Thanks.

Preconditioning can speed up DCFC charging in cold weather. You don't need to consider it in temperatures above 30 degrees F. As an aside, if you have Android Auto, consider mapping your route with Google Maps through that connection. It's very similar to ABRP in route planning.

30F? Not quite. A 30F battery will fast charge slower. I'm sure in some thread the temp where it doesn't warm has been listed. I bet it is over 50F.

Agree:
Fast charge preconditioning doesn’t change your interior temperature.

ABRP doesn’t trigger fast charge preconditioning, only Google Maps.
