PRNDL shift selector shift hard

Anyone here experienced issues with the gear selector? It rotates very hard now, I need medium force to make it shift, only 8000 miles on the car, if this stops shifting altogether, is there a way to drive this thing or put it in reverse or D?

Nope, that shouldn't happen. Unless you spilled a sugary drink on it or something? I would want to get that replaced ASAP because there's no override (tow required if it doesn't turn).

Nope, this thing is washed, waxed, and vacuumed twice per week, I don't drink inside.
I wish this thing treats me the same way I treat her.

Did you ever find out what the issue was? We are having same issue in our 2021 premium . One day the gear selector just started to feel stiff / rough to turn. No spills or crud.
