Turned it off Day 1 and have never looked back. Also defeated the external creep speaker and backup beeper. I like my silent car silent

This is one of the car's features that I expected to not like at all, but ended up liking quite a bit. I'm not looking for authenticity or trying to abide by any gearhead cred standards though. I just think it sounds nice and makes the whole driving experience more enjoyable.

I also don't find the ride particularly silent when propulsion sound is off, and I prefer the round, warm sound that the engineers came up with. I certainly like it more than the overly futuristic sounds in the EV6 and probably the iX.

I imagine I will be the same and turn it off when I get my MME. Not interested in having a fake engine sound at all. Nothing wrong with a little less noise pollution in the world IMHO.

I've been putting baseball cards in the wheel spokes.
Good idea - I tried to replicate the propulsion sound using asthmatic 4 year olds with kazoos. Your solution is much easier to implement.

I turned off the noise as soon as I heard it, then turned it back on briefly when someone here suggested it was useful in preventing motion sickness. Tested it for 2 days with no discernible difference, but I did get a nasty note from the 4 year olds.

You know that it’s only on the inside right?

Now for serious debate: Wooden, metal, plastic, or composite clothespins? ??

Wood, of course - stronger spring, more durable materials, and useful for making catapults and impromptu mousetraps. But not the one-piece jobbies with no springs - good for nothing uni-taskers...

I like the sound. In an early Ford interview their spokesman said it's modeled after the sound of an EV motor. I think that's cool.
I have it on. I like the sound too, nothing like an ICE motor sound. More futuristic sound. Like what an EV should sound like.

I saw a video of the Mercedes EQS AMG sound and it's way crazier than ours. They get two sound options too.
