Ha! If it were outside, I would be thrilled to be able to record myself yelling: "get out of the left lane if you're not passing!" and have that play every time I accelerate!

One of the reasons I bought an EV was to enjoy the quiet ride. No fake extra sounds thanks.

Hopefully if added we can turn it on or off at will.

Yes, for interior only. My idea (on another thread) would be a Hollywood sound package. I'd want a selection of options including: Steve McQueen's Bullet, Ken Mile's GT40, Shelby Cobra, American Graffiti Flathead, Red Tails P51, Star Fighter, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid horses, and Jetsons flying cars. Come on Ford! This would be fun! And for people who prefer silence we can have a Mime mode.

I find it darkly amusing that Ford spent a lot of effort fine tuning the propulsion sound (according to some video interview with the sound engineer I watched; can't find it now) and no one cares for it.

People comment on how quiet EVs are, but I want to go further. My Lincoln had active noise reduction. That could be helpful with tire and road noise. I read Cadillac Lyric will incorporate NR.

I want them to make propulsion sounds that sound like space ships. Or laser beams. Frickin laser beams.

Back in the day my brother put a loudspeaker PA system in his car. He bought a "laser sounds" toy and would "zap" people who annoyed him in traffic.
