Hi all when I bought my Mustang Mach E I didn't realise it had puddle lights. After unlocking the car on the same evening, I released that it's meant to have a pony projected, however the projected light just looks like something fractured. Please see image :

Does anyone have any idea if this means the puddle light is broken or if it's meant to be like this?

Looks like the Pony projection lens moved out of position. Probably a new one required.

If Walsall is the UK Walsall, I think I have a spare you could have - I removed mine when I fitted these.

It is the Walsall Uk you're on about haha! I would be more than happy to do so, let me know if you have it. Could you please share some guidance on how you removed it and fitted in the new one. Is it something easy to replace or does it require someone with good experience with cars and fixing things?

Again, thank you for your help, super appreciated!

Am sure I still have both static puddle lamps, will check in the morning.

It’s dead easy to change them.

EV-Vida produced videos though their method of removing the body-coloured part of mirror was not quite right in their video at the time I bought the dynamic puddle lights. Correct way is to first carefully tease the mirror glass from its spring mounts and then access the coloured retaining clips for the coloured part.

Then there are a few torx screws hidden by mirror glass and Bob’s your uncle & Fanny’s your aunt👌

One thought, you might just want to just check to see if the puddle light unit hasn’t just come unclipped from its mounting inside the lower cover.

Follow EV-Vida’s video with my alteration to their first steps in previous post to access inside bottom cover.

Can’t remember but you might be able to see inside bottom cover where puddle light mounts with just the glass and possibly the body coloured upper cover removed without continuing with all the dismantling necessary to replace the lamp.

The light unit only mounts inside the mirror’s bottom cover by way of one locator about which it pivots until the clip opposite which is arrowed in one of the attached fixes it into position.

The mirror may have been knocked or something causing the light unit to just come unclipped and the light pattern you’re seeing might just be that which shines from the displaced lamp through the bottom aperture.

I have the light unit here if you need which I can post to you if you need, just let me have your address in a direct message.

If the bottom cover’s also broken, you can have that, too.

I don’t want anything in payment.

You sure it's not just dirty under your mirror? Give it a wipe.
