I’ve found that 3 years later I’m past the need for constant speed.

I do usually drive over the speed limit but no crazy weaving around traffic.

No tickets so far. If I were to get pulled over I would probably also get cited for tinted front windows and no front license plate.

I’m happy that you got your dream car.

All my tools but beautifully with the back row up which I wasn’t expecting, I’m not gonna bring my ladder home until Friday, and luckily my weather mats arrive Thursday so that’ll be nice to test everything out with the seats down. I’m sure it’ll fit no problem, and I plan to buy a better storage system soon for my half my tools so they won’t just be sitting in random places. I currently have a blanket layer down In the back for my tools to sit on, and a blanket in the frunk for my muddy boots while I figure out what to order to fit in there.

I tried to talk him out of an expensive car last time he posted......I guess I failed. Young guy, new business start up......Last thing he needs is a high car payment.....but oh, well.....Should be saving for retirement or reinvesting in his company.......But, we were all 23 at some point and did not always make the best decisions. Good Luck to him and the new business.

i never said I started a business. I work for a company that does electrical work, I said I would like to own my own company one day but that’s probably 10 years away. I put into retirement and have no other bills other than a few subscriptions and credit cards.

You're in a good spot, and a better one than a lot of people your age. If you ever intend on buying your own house, I would definitely recommend making a savings account for that, but that's only the dad in me coming out LOL. It sounds like you have a good sense of money, which is not something a 23 year old usually has.

And I will say, being an electrician is a great career. My father was one for 30-35 years, and started where you were and retired as the head of a new division in the company where he worked that whole time. I did a couple of summers as an apprentice while in college, and there were times I had an absolute blast working there, such as when we were running wire for the robots at a Honda plant!

@ElectricGuy - Congratulations you just multiplied the number of "Uncles" in your life. A bunch of us have the perspective of looking back with a mixture of fondness/regret at your time in life. Add to that a bunch of us likely have a son or daughter your age - so the advice is well intended - an instinct - and we control our desire to share our "wisdom" to varying degrees.

Yeah I have never gotten a ticket, been pulled over a couple times for speeding but I normally follow the flow of traffic. I just like to accelerate fast, and that’s where I might be in trouble. It goes up to 60 so quick I might be at 50-60 when I mean to only go 40.

You can get used to it pretty quickly. I can drive my GT like a grandpa if I want (just went to the Post Office and averaged 5.2 Mi/KWh). I generally don't (that trip usually gets me somewhere around 3). Then again, I've been driving high torque cars for nearly 50 years.

My dad is an actuary and deals with finance for a living so I’ve had lots of money talks with my parents

It’s not specifically for pets, though I customized it for DugthePug.

The mat goes on top of the cover.

I had one in my Escape also and it is easy to clean. Keeps your carpet in the back like new and protects against any spills that might happen.

Easy installation with sewed in Velcro that sticks to the carpet.

You can take it out, rinse it off and or it’s easy to vacuum and put it back in.

Oh I didn’t but the ford branded ones, I got the lazfit ones on amazon with a rear seat cover too, when they arrive in a day or two I’ll see if they’re worth keeping or if I should get better ones.

I’ll probably watch a YouTube video later when I have more free time, but since I don’t have a level 2 charger until Saturday and I’m down to like 80 miles in the car, I tried to stop at some super charger 250kwh I passed on the way home and I couldn’t get it to work. Idk what I was doing wrong but I gave up after 10 minutes. Maybe it was just not working, or maybe I need to buy something or enable something. It was at a BP gas station and the charging brand was XEV. No clue why it wouldn’t work. Do you normally pay before you plug the car in? Because it said step 1, plug in car and after I did that… nothing. Any suggestions?

Every charge supplier's charger is slightly different in how they work. Most of them require that you have their specific app and a credit card tied to your account with them. Some (such as Electrify America, Tesla, EVgo, ChargePoint, Blink, and Shell Recharge,) allow Ford to charge your credit card via the Ford app's account for the electricity delivered to your car because they are part of the Blue Oval Charge Network™. In order for you to simply plug your car in and have those brands negotiate a charge, you must have Plug and Charge enabled for your car. If your car does not have Plug and Charge enabled, you must pre-activate the charger you're using either via the app for that specific charge company or via the Ford app if you are using a brand that is part of the Blue Oval Charge Network.

Ditto @HuntingPudel on setting up the Ford App for Plug & Charge?
It is not uncommon to find non-working chargers (especially like single setups at gas stations)
Get PlugShare and ABRP set up on your phone to help you find chargers, PlugShare is the best for finding chargers that work (and their cost), Note, not all networks work on Ford's network. Look for an Electrify America system, to me, they are quite reliable...
