I just took my Mach-e in for the HVBJB recall replacement and got back home with it. It seems to be working fine with one exception: when I go up to the car and press the door button to unlock and open the driver's door, it no longer unlocks and opens (have key fob in my pocket). I have to get my fob out, press the unlock button, then press the driver's door button a 2nd time for it to open. All the buttons on the fob are working, even from multiple feet away, so I don't think it's a fob issue. I could not find any setting for the car to alter this behavior and nothing listed in the owner's manual.
Any suggestions?

I saw this on another thread about the HVBJB replacement, and this video mentions the antennas for the keyfob that run along there. Maybe they forgot to reattach those?

Hi there! I can look into your Mach-E's lock concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Mach-E's VIN?

Thanks for the tip on the possible cause being the keyfob antenna. Seems quite plausible. However, I just talked to the dealer today and the EV tech that worked on my car does not think that's the cause. They think it might have been one of the many module updates they applied in the same visit as the HVBJB replacement (sounds less likely). I am scheduled to bring in it next Monday to the dealer for them to diagnose and fix. We'll see how that goes...

Yes, if they reprogrammed the Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module that could be it. You can post your VIN on this thread to see what modules were done.

I just took my MME in today to the dealer to have them investigate and fix the issue with the driver's side door buttons not working. Initially, they said it couldn't be related to the antenna in the car for detecting the key fob (and the wiring for that antenna). They said it was likely one of the updates they applied recently. However, after an hour or so wait, the service rep came out, handed me my key fob, and said it's all fixed. I asked what they found. He replied: They reconnected the wiring harness for the door fob sensor in the car (apparently left disconnected when they reassembled the car after replacing the HVBJB).

So, a big thanks to 'KennelH' for suggesting that as a possible cause! Indeed, that was it! Works fine now. The wisdom on this forum comes through again!
