Hi All,
Patiently awaiting the build week (04/25) for our premium RWD ext range. Wanted to ask around and confirm with those who received their cars recently. When you went to complete financing were you offered the incentives from your month of placing order and current month? Our rep stated it in an email to us but I just want to confirm.

Offered? Definitely not.

Assume the dealer will default to a bad financing rate and if there’s a better option you’ll have to explain it to them and research in advance how to get it.

Unless it’s a super high volume dealer, all this stuff (including the Ford Options program) is brand new to them.

I got mine a few months ago, but no one at the dealer (including GM, new car manager and finance manager) knew how Options worked. I was only the 3rd Mach E they had delivered.

That seems to align with the concern I’m already feeling lol. Figured I’d touch base with them once it is built to make sure they can do Options. That’s the route I’m most interested, unsure what incentives will be for may/June of course. Hoping incentives from time of order are a thing as options had a $1000-25000 rebate back in October.. preparing for the worst, but hope for the best

Questions about the Ford Options plan:
1- The final Ballon payment doesn't mean it's a new transaction, right? Meaning, I will not have to pay sales tax and dealer fees again like you do when you buy out a lease, for example?

2- It's not a lease, meaning I'm still the buyer and therefore the person that will get the tax credit, if any, right?

Correct (you can refinance directly with Ford Credit or pay it off)

and Yes you claim the tax credit (that’s the whole point of offering Ford Options)

Got my car Friday, and I had to help them through it as they had only done one other. They gave me the option of what ever was better, October 2021 when ordered or March 2022 when delivered. I got my pre-December 8th pricing and the 1.4% financing with $1000 back. A little prodding by me by being educated about it, but zero fight back. They went right along with all my requests so I really cannot complain.

Oh and remember, you are limited the amount you can put down, which is 45% of MSRP and you choose the miles per year. Both of these affect the monthly payment and balloon payment, if that matters.

I put the max down, and the miles driven did not really matter to me as I plan to pay off early. I am just going to make large payment for awhile before I do to reduce the back end payment and reduce my interest cost on the carrying amount.

And I can pay it off or refinance at any time without penalty? Don't have to wait for the term?

Yes. There’s no prepayment penalty. (for you as the customer, the dealer may be charged back for the incentives if you pay it off before making 3 monthly payments)

Does the miles per year matter of you intend refi or pay the balloon payment at the end? Meaning, will get a penalty if you chose 7500 and drive 12000?

Mileage is only a factor if you return the car to Ford. As a low mileage driver, I plan to just pick 7500 and have every intention to keep the car. Even if I had to return it back, I don't think I'd go over so it's no issue for me. As long as there are no massive issues, I plan to keep it till it dies and drive it to the ground.

As for better tech, I'll just plan that for the next EV in a few years.

This. It can lower your monthly payment on the miles you choose, but only really matters if you give the car back. I plan on keeping it so who cares if I pick 10000 miles and drive 20000.
