Question about showing battery % on instrument panel

Hi, noobie me again (2023 GT, less than 1 week old). I noticed that in 'Engage' driving mode, the battery life % is not shown on the instrument panel, yet it is on Whisper and Unbridled. I prefer Engage mode and was wondering if there is a way to show it? It instead shows the blue bar across the bottom. I'd rather see the %. See pictures for difference. (1st pic what it shows, 2nd pic is what I want)

There's no way to customize the display from within the car. But perhaps there is an option in FDRS. you would have to ask someone with access to FDRS to see if that's possible.

I see. Is there any rationale you can think of for why it's this way?

While we are asking…anyone know if the braking recovery readout could be on all driving modes, not just engage?

Pretty sure just engage and it is just simulated and not a real measure of regen.

Braking efficiency does seem to change…but I would like the readout there. It also reflects what used to be in the driving log (before Ford removed that for “improvement”).

Just turn on any driver assist feature that puts the picture of the car in the middle of the instrument cluster. I keep Lane Keep assist on all the time so that the battery percentage is displayed.

Ugh in the last software update Ford just made an "improvement":

"Adjusts the car avatar to appear only when Advanced Driver Assistance Systems is active."

This seems to have the side effect of permanently hiding the battery percentage. I couldn't find a single way to figure that out from within the car. My search led me here. I'm not playing around with features that actually affect driving in order to get what I want on the display. What a terrible decision by Ford.
