Questions when ordering online at Ford.com

Hi,

This year I will be ordering my car directly from Ford.com to customize my purchase. I have questions about how the car will be delivered and the role of my local dealership. I am a newbie taking this route so sorry for my questions.

1. Will I be paying more doing this since I am dealing directly with Ford meaning no discounts or incentives from the dealership?
2. When buying directly from Ford online how is the car delivered to me. Do I just pick the closest dealer to me?
3. If I choose to finance with Ford will I do this through the dealership. I am assuming they have to do the tax, title and registration?

It would be great if anyone could share their past experiences and any tips that I should be aware.

I ordered mine on Ford's website back in 2021. Picked a dealer to have it delivered to. Picked it up from the dealer when it finally came in. All the available incentives at the time were applied.

I guess I stand corrected. I was thinking that this might be similar to buying a Tesla but no. It looks like you can build at the Ford website but need the dealer to actually order and purchase the car.

I haven't had to buy a new car let alone a full EV in 16 years so a bit out of practice. I currently drive a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid with 200K miles. It will be nice to have a new car soon!

Yeah, if I remember correctly, when I "ordered" mine through the website Jan '22, I still had to partner with my local dealer.
