I’m not finding this in a search, but I’m sure I’m not the first to experience it. If someone could point me to the thread on this bug, I would appreciate it.
I have an issue with the radio activating on its own. It activates to a random AM station with static. Loud static.
The bug appears to be associated with a Bluetooth handoff upon starting or turning off the car.
It most frequently occurs when I enter and start the car when I am in the middle of a phone call. When I put the car in reverse to back out of driveway, it appears that the car’s attempt to engage my Bluetooth / Apple CarPlay connection shits the bed and the radio turns on instead, blaring static. This is *super fun* when I’m on the freaking phone and backing out of my driveway, which means that all my SYNC controls are suspended until I put the car in park or drive.
Help please? We need to inform Ford of this aggravating bug.
