After an over-the-air update on January 9, 2023, two new problems with my Mach-E happened:

1. I charge at home, which I have saved as a preferred charge location. When I change my preferred charge level, the car doesn't charge to that level and instead charges to a level set through the dash on the car. For example, if I set the preferred charge to 85%, the car ignores that and charges to the level set in the car. I've never had this problem until the update.

I brought my car into the dealer, but the problem hasn't been fixed.

2. The estimated driving range is no longer accurate. Before the update, I consistently had a range of 120 miles at 90% (during winter months). After the update, the range says 180 miles, which isn't correct in practice nor makes logical sense because it's still winter and no other factor has changed: my driving habits, temperature use, overnight parking. I've tried resetting my driving history, but the car still says 180 miles at 90%.

It's been almost two months, and the car hasn't adjusted and thinks it's summer.

I haven't seen your 1st problem but your second is very common. We all have the same range issue since the update in the cold weather. @Ford Motor Company Seems stupid to purposely strand people just to make it look like the car has more range than it really does.

I don’t understand #1. What’s set in the car is the only thing that can limit the ending state of charge.

Yeah, Ford Teslarized the GOM. ?

I too have problem 1 and after it ignores my settings it charges my battery to 100% then appears to reset the driving history as it estimates the range to around 450 km’s.
