Doc fee shouldn't be anywhere near $300. If you use Ford's X-Plan, they limit it to $100.

But if you don't use x-plan, since not every dealership will accept it, 300 is pretty decent. Lot of people charging 499 or even higher doc fees out there.

I just purchased a Mach E select, AWD, with tech package, silver in NJ a few weeks ago.

1. Dealer posted price: That is the lowest you will find for tech package + red and AWD. Many Mach e’s in NJ are being sold above MSRP- all the dealers around me were $5,000 over MSRP due to the demand of the mach e and shortage of cars. I ended up driving 4 hrs round trip to buy one that didn't have a dealer mark up.

2. 10,500 miles- ask for a discount for the millage. Mine had 450 miles and I asked what they could take off the price, they said $450. The next day when I went to test drive and pick up the car. The car salesman said that I was lucky to get the $450 off, they usually don’t take any money off the price of the car until the miles are 3,500 – 5,000. You are definitely over that amount so ask what they can take off the car for the miles.

3. $5,000 down, $602 per month for 36 months, 10,500 miles. – Just be aware that there will be some additional fees they you may have to factor into your loan amount. The federal $7,500 doesn’t immediately come off the car. You will instead get $7,500 back when you do your taxes (as long as you paid at least $7,500 in taxes this year). So make sure to factor that into the amount you are financing. Delivery- $1,100 – non negotiable. Doc fee- should be around $300. (Mine was $389)- If higher, negotiate it down. NJ new car 4 year registration fee- $94.50- non negotiable. Without telling my financing specifics, I put greater than $5,000 down, opted for a 60 month loan and my monthly payments are above $600- and as mentioned my car has very similar specs to the one you are looking at.

4. Interest rate: 2.50% - Right now the manufacturer – Ford, has even better interest rates than the one you have. I ended up financing through Ford because of their competitive interest rates.

5. I also got an extra $100 off the price of my mach e- I believe it is an incentive that Ford is offering on all their mach e’s – Check about that

6. Since the car MSRP is over $45k the greatest NJ instant incentive you will get off is $2,000. Also, if you purchase and register the car in NJ there is no sales tax on the vehicle since it’s electric. So make sure that you get that off as well.





Long story short

If this is the car you want with all the specifics you want definitely purchase it!! The MSRP is the lowest you will find in NJ with the color and package you want. Just check if you can get money off the price of the car for the mileage, get the Ford financing at the lower interest rate, get the manufacture’s $100 off the car and make sure there will be no sales tax. I believe NJ has one of the best, if not the best incentives for electric cars.

With the $7,500 federal tax credit, $2,000 NJ incentive, ~$3,500 estimated sales tax savings, and $100 manufacturer discount you’ll be saving ~$13,100 off the price of the car- That’s unheard of off a brand new car, let alone one as nice as this!!
