I noticed today that the right rear parking sensor on my 22 Mach E select seems to have been pushed in.

I'm hoping I can get away with pushing the sensor back in place assuming nothing is broken. For those that have worked on these cars, is there a way that I can get my hand in there somehow without having to take off the rear bumper?

Thanks

Take a look at some of the trailer hitch install posts. You only need to remove the rear side of the diaper/mud cover (whatever it's called). There are some screws and a few clips. Drop the cover but it's not necessary to remove it completely. Then you can easily see and reach into that area. Easy if rear wheels are on ramps but you may be able to get away without them.

Edit: See page 3 of the instructions here https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...h-e-torklift-ecohitch.4330/page-4#post-145422

I think you only need to remove the 8 rear screws and the 4 plastic clips.

One of the sensors is on the right edge of this photo. One wire goes to the parking sensors, the other is the kick-to-open tailgate sensor if installed.

BTW nice color. Iconic Silver?

Ah nice thanks, very helpful.

I forget exactly what the dealer called it but something like Glacier Ice? I might be way off on that

Well that turned out to be one of the easiest repairs I've done, finished in about 20 mins or so.

I removed the rear most 8 bolts and two push clips, pulled back the rear valence and pushed the sensor back in place.

Thanks all
