From one mod to another!

I have occasionally sat in the back seat of our Premium E4X and notice the same thing as some prior posters in terms of feeling the metal under the seat when sitting low (butt close to the edge/lip of the seat). I am hoping to get some instructions on how to pop open the rear seat cushion so I can insert some additional padding. Seems another poster did this before but they haven't been around for a few months. Figure it should be a pretty easy DIY, just want to make sure I don't break anything and can reinstall without issues

Thanks in advance!

The rear bottom cushion is held on with clips. Get your hand under it, then feel around until you find one, and lift near the clip itself to avoid breaking it.

You may have to take the rear of the seat off to get the cushion out. Near where the seatbelt comes down on the C-pillar is a little plastic plate, take this plate off and then lift the seat back up and out. If you end up taking this off, wrap the bar with some foam tape (weather seal for windows style tape) to prevent it rattling in the future.

The seat fabric is held on with these 2 white draw strings like a hoodie top. The seat itself is dense foam...You might be able to squeeze in some kind of pad between the fabric and foam I guess. You also may be able to get something underneath but careful to not put so much material in that you can't get the clips back in. You can just barely make out the 2 clips holding the seat on in the photo below.
