I'm debating on putting a rear spoiler on as the backend of my white car turns dusty after 15 miles. Maybe less. And this isn't even the dusty 'season' here.

Does the rear spoiler help with this at all or just make it worse? I don't know if i can keep the air compressor full and blow the back off nearly daily without looking like a looney. (Which I probably already do as the tires are off this car daily and 3 neighbors are always walking around. It'd probably keep them from buying an MME.At least I wouldn't have to mod it.)

Not really, but it looks good on Space White with wider wheel/tire combo. ?

I have the rear lip too.

Doesn’t seem to make any difference on dust on the back window. It’s always filthy.

Maybe the giant roof spoiler would help. But I’m not a fan of the looks.

The main reason the rear window attracts dust is the low pressure area generated by the sun shade. Not much you can do about it since the lift gate is designed to accept the sun shade and it would be super-weird without it. ??

can you share some photos of your tires and rims up close. I've been considering adding new shoes to my space white.
Don’t really have any up close pics. OZ Racing Gran Turismo HLT in 20x8.5”. They each (wheel/tire) weigh 3.5lbs less than the OEM 19x7” wheel/tire combo. We have Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 sized 255/45-20 on them. 10-15 mile range penalty max, including lots of 75-90mph highway trips.

Another user here on MachEForum posted recently about his Spoiler.
He bought one, put it on, with the included adhesive, and took it off to upgrade to a newer one. When he/she took the first off, there was significant damage to the paint.

Now, some will say, "If you put it on and leave it on, shouldn't be an issue."
I can see why one might say that. My concern is if the damage was caused by the tape and not by the removal. If so, now you have tape eroding the paint under the spoiler that is left on. That means potential water damage, corrosion, etc. under the spoiler that is left on. That kind of damage can expand, spread, and even come out from under the spoiler and show on the hatch.

I may be wrong.

Funny thing being it's not even for looks. I have mesquite and palo verde trees all down my street. Leaves are actually sticking to the back of the car from static. (Granted right now there is no wax what so ever on the car as I'm in the midst of paint correct) I'm hoping to find a way to not need to blow off the back or use my duster once I've finished coating the car.

I saw that thread about the wing rubbing the paint. It is something to keep in mind. My grille wrap should be here monday. We'll see if I can get that installed. Might have to go back on the hunt for swapping up to a GT as I'm trying to buy GT wheels and paint my fenders to match.. Should just buy the damn car. (I know of 3 from the dealer I bought this MME from, my wife would be thrilled if she came back from Spain to have a different car in the driveway. Though my kid would rat me out instantly.)

Anyone got any other solutions for the dust on the back? It’s really annoying
I'm still looking for an anti-static coating. I think that would make a dent in it.

A spoiler won't do it, in fact it'll likely increase the amount of dust because it decreases air pressure and allows more dust to settle right where you want less dust.

Link?

I put mine on, and took it off and reinstalled (first tape came loose).

No paint damage. Mine is AOSK OEM style spoiler.

They use regular 3M tape. That won’t erode paint and shouldn’t pull paint off either.

No, more like the lumps and bumps for mounting the sun shade. It looks really stupid without it. ??
