One picture with brake lights activated since they are tinted. Does not effect how bright they are, as that is very deceiving.

Well the GT is here folks, and all I can say is wow. I have to plug the dealership I used as well, Encinitas Ford. ZERO hidden fees, ZERO issues with all the numbers when we got there. Since I did everything online through Ford and submitted for the credit check online, it was a here's the price you bought it for, heres tax/title/license, sign here, here are the keys. I honestly drove off thinking, "Why was that so easy? I must've done something wrong." Judging by other people's experiences there, that's how they operate. I was shocked. So easy, and not what I've experienced when previously buying a car elsewhere. Ask for Nate Scheinbaum. Guy was professional start to finish, and seriously made the process a breeze.

3 things that are bothering me and then I will say what I love (yes I am being so picky here, I know that): 1. the side mirrors are so small! Like mini cooper sized! Maybe I just have to get used to it...2. The knob for the volume and the knob for the shifter feels super plasticy, not to mention there are a few other areas like the sunglasses compartment on the headliner that is also just so much plastic. 3. The door. For whatever reason the space from where the door seal is to the end of the door looks HUGE! not plastic this time, but makes the door look weird when you're getting in and out.

Ok, I'm done. Again, SUPER picky. That's all I have on the picky stuff, now for the amazing stuff. 1. Speed. Holy you-know-what! Even in whisper this car will get up and go. Put it in Unbridled...you literally feel sick. That's how quickly it takes off. So all this nonsense about the 5-seconds of power and stuff has not affected me yet, especially when I blow off the line next to a 5 series BMW. 2. The wheels are seriously growing on me. My wife keeps calling them "flower power" wheels, but they're actually gorgeous and in 24 hours I have had 4 people comment on the red brake calipers...something I haven't really noticed myself. 3. The screen is unreal. Seriously, the clarity of it, what features Ford thought of to allow the driver to play with...unreal. 4. The interior on the GT is stunning. I thought I would have a problem with the half leather half suede, but it's seriously stunning. Smells so good too. 5. My wife, who was very skeptical for this vehicle and told me we weren't going to go fast (lol, yeah right) if she was in the car, was giggling the whole way home in Unbridled mode :)

Is it just dumb luck that some of these GT orders are going to production so soon, or do the GTs just get built faster?

I put a GT order in on April 8th and am hoping I get it before Thanksgiving.
I think it's a combination of a lot of factors and some dumb luck. I'm on track to get mine about 20 weeks from when I ordered (12/15/21), which is quite a bit less than the estimated time. But I have seen some speculating that GT/GTPE are getting prioritized bc of the higher cost, and likely higher margin, that Ford gets on them.

I ordered directly through my dealer and never ended up getting emails notifying my about status changes--I was only able to see what was on the Ford order tracking site. So all I know for sure is that it was ordered on 12/15/21, went into production on 3/30/22, was built on 3/31/2022 and has an estimated arrival of the first or second week of May (according to my dealer).

Wow, that's quick! Only two months from order to build week? Maybe there's something to the rumor that GTs are built more quickly.

I ordered my Grabber Blue GT on April 5, 2022 and don't have a build date yet. But if your experience is any indication, I might just get my production date tomorrow when Ford schedules through the end of June. I did call my dealer (which is the highest-volume dealership in NorCal) and they moved my Priority Code up to 10, so we'll see.

GTPE ordered 10/22/2021, built 4/9, in transit. Looking like 29-30 weeks, from 28+ predicted when I ordered.

Ordered 12/9 and delivered 4/12 so maybe GTs are a little faster? Would make sense I guess...?

Originally placed order for a Star White Premium AWD ER on 8/12. Got email regarding shift to ‘22 in early October, changed order to GTPE on 11/7.

Placed a second order for a Star White Premium RWD ER on 11/17 with another dealer. Wonder which will get scheduled first.

I will have to ask my original dealer about priority codes.
Quick follow up - my GTPE order was scheduled for a 3/14 build week, but got built on 3/22, and is currently ona train out to California from Kansas. Should be to my dealer and in my hands within the next week or two. I canceled my second order for the Premium RWD ER back in January.
