Remote Start available on FOB?

I was recently at an event that overloaded the local cell towers (20,000 bikers in a town of 700) so I had no cell reception. I was unable to remote start my Mach-E with the FordPass app so I wondered if there is any trick for using the FOB. A couple people suggested that there was some way to hold down 2 different buttons to make it start, but neither of them could remember exactly what they had heard. Do any of you experienced MME owners know the details of this trick?

If you have to be within fob range of the car to remote start it, you might as well just get in the car and start it.

You can roll the windows down with the FOB; which is a good start on a hot sunny day.

Thought I might be able to get a fob with the remote start button on it and reprogram it. Picked up a cheap Edge fob on ebay. Was able to get through the pairing process and get to the success screen, but the fob would not interface with the MME.

Given the specific situation here (cell towers overwhelmed due to biker invasion), a minus 20F problem wouldn’t apply.

I learned that on YouTube while I was searching for remote start info. I might use that at some point.
