Did something change perhaps after the 12V Recall where when Remote Starting outside of Preferred Charge times it not longer pulls power from shore power? My charger doesn't turn on anymore to warm or cool cabin when remote starting. Tired a few different EVSEs. Anyone else?
I’ve taken a look at this, the car now obeys preferred charging hours when it comes to remote start (or remote HVAC) events. If you start it during charging hours, it will draw power from the wall like always. But if you start it outside of preferred charging hours, it will NOT draw power from the wall and will drain the high voltage battery.

So the answer is yes, they did change it.

As always, this change will make some people happy and some people upset. If you don’t want to drain your battery with remote start, then extend your preferred charging hours. But people with high rate time of use plans will rejoice since they don’t have to unplug it first or disable the EVSE anymore.

Thanks for the confirmation! Curious if you have the latest OBCC update applied?

Mine pulls power from the L2 charger when I remote climate start it up.

I have no scheduling restrictions on either the charger or car....

That's why. If you have "preferred charge times" enable it doesn't. It used to but not anymore. @Ford Motor Company can we request this being changed back?

Couldn't you just change your preferred charge times if you're okay with it drawing power when you want to remote start?

So I went to remote start today outside of my Preferring Charge Time and it used wall power! Could Ford have changed this on their end without updates to my vehicle??
