I recently installed an amp and subwoofer and I’m currently using the signal turn on where the amp turns in when it senses a signal from the audio input. This works ok, but it also seems to turn the amp in and cause the subwoofer to make noise at times when I approach the car.

I’m looking for a fuse that turns off when the accessory mode turns off as well. I have not been able to find one at all. Every fuse I have looked into tends to stay on at all times.

Has anyone found a place to run a remote tuen-on wire?

Look at the posts for dashcam installs. There are fuses that turn off shortly after the car is shut off

I think I've been doing a horrible job at searching the forums, but I haven't read anywhere dashcam related where someone mentions a fuse they've used as a 12v trigger/remote.

I tapped into the 12v socket in the rear of the vehicle and that does turn on/off, but it takes 30-45 minutes to turn off and the amplifier runs that entire time. It would be nicer if I could find something that turns off after a minute or less.

For my sub amp, I tapped into the 12 V lead for the cigarette lighter in the rear of the hatch for remote turn on. Sure it always turns on my amp when the car is on but for me when my car is on I always have the stereo on.

My line level turn on was never working correctly so that’s the reason I tapped into that rear 12 V

Yeah, that's what I'm using right now, but it does take 30 - 45 minutes until shutting the power off. So the amp is running for that time while the car is not turned on. I just worry that may drain the 12v battery over time.

I have run it that way for almost 20 months at this point; but YMMV. When I did my install I timed it to about 10-12 minutes until turn off upon turning off car and leaving; surprised yours is so much longer.

Well, that’s good to hear. I’ll give it a go. I’m wondering if mine stayed on so long because my phone was within range the whole time even though the car was off.

If anyone wants to tap into an always on use the unused fuses in spots: 5, 6, 13, 24
If anyone wants to tap into a switched on fuse use the unused fuse in spot: 1-2

All of the micro 2 spots are always on and all of the micro 3 spots are switched.

A micro 2 can be used on one side of a micro 3 if you can't find a micro 3. Only micro fuses can be used.
