The terminology you're looking for for home circuit breakers is the "trip curve" or "time-current curve." See attached. Short version is that a residential breaker will allow 6-7X the rating for a few seconds, which sure seems like a lot! More interesting to me is that they can allow 2x for an entire minute or more.
Additionally, it‘s a common misconception that a breaker is supposed to trip at its current rating. It’s actually designed to carry its rating without tripping.

At some point you have to think about practical limits. You're not going to be able to run a table saw or 1 HP air compressor off the Mach-E 12V system because they draw too much power to keep up. Look at the amperage rating on the tool. If it's more than 12 amps, it's too big to run. Small tools only. It's not a F-150 Lightning with Pro Power Onboard.

My 1500W inverter will start and run a 12 amp vacuum cleaner. That's the biggest thing I'm able to run without overloading the Mach-E. You're not going to be able to run every possible tool off it, and it's overkill to waste money on a huge setup trying run every tool you own. Be practical.

Take a look at this chart. Anything that takes more than 1500W running or 3000W starting is too big: https://cdnmedia.endeavorsuite.com/...6c345f2b/Honda_Generator_Wattage_Chart_En.pdf

alligator clamps don't have much surface area in contact.... ok for temp use, but not extended high current. much better to install d-rings at posts, perhaps with suitable big Anderson disconnects rated for 150a
How do you attach the D-ring to the positive jump point?

you *could* put a bolt thru the connector, or disassemble the connector and add underneath, or.... there may be a giant spade connector that is an official Ford part for the official FDRS charger; I have not looked for that

I have never been interested in that, dtbaker keeps bringing it up. I am more interested in my 7.5a rated mini shop vac, a modern 4 inch angle grinder, small jig saw, maybe a small microwave oven, and the like. I would like my 15a sazall to work, but home depot was running a special so i now have a 18v battery sazall.

I have also organized my house so i can get my fridge (modern) and a set of house lights, and my Internet and Wi-Fi with two extension cords, as we had a two day power outage. I would start my 2000w generator during the day and also to charge a marine battery, and the Marine battery alone with i thing a 750w inverter at night.

Before you chide me for using an extension cord, it is correctly rated and a complete pain to carry. i don know how to read a cable rating and have respect for ratings.

I believe my expectations are reasonable, and i will probably invest in a high quality 2k inverter.
