Then how the hell did the Ford mechanic fit it in and able to test drive it?

He actually replaced the front motor, then drove it and there was still a problem. Called ford and they said replace the rear motor. So now he has to replace the rear motor also. Both drive units will be brand new.

I had a total knee replacement on my left knee almost 3 years ago. When I went into preop, they pulled the gown back to the knees and started laughing … I had written “wrong knee” on the right knee.

Maybe we need to write “Not this motor” on our mach -e’s. ;)
Wait, you meant right wasn't right? Wasn't the left one supposed to be left?

Similar happened to my GT on Sept 30th. Except I got the SOBDCMB code P0C2A Aux Cooling motor stall for the FRONT, dealership did the HVBJB Recall and flashed the codes, I got it back on Friday, and by Monday it worse. I was told to bring it back.

So about 400-500 miles driving with the Aux Cooling Motor Stalled by the time it was back to the dealer. Couple days later parts are ordered, and by Friday they had replaced a trashed REAR drive unit, BUT now they were waiting for a new FRONT drive unit that is also trashed. It arrived Wednesday afternoon, they are hoping to have it back to me by close this Monday.

That's a solid 3 weeks without, no rental or loaner offered or available, so 150miles a day in my F250 Superduty Powerstroke. Nice truck but expensive with the miles I do, so far about $600, instead of the free Level 2 charging at work all day.

Bought car used 3 weeks before it junked itself, I have about 2500 miles on it, and ODO is 15655. I don't even have the metal license plates on it yet.

Upside, if they turn it around in 3 weeks I'm doing better than a lot of people around here.

Small potatoes, my 2021 was in for the high voltage contactor update and got dropped off a lift. Ford rep looked at it and said “Not fords problem”, even though the shop used their crappy, unsafe lifting blocks. Then the dealer tried to give me a 2021 select for my premium extended range, rejected! Their final offer was $10,000 because it was totaled , and they keep the insurance money. My final resolution was to have my car insurance company take over and make them pay, I got 33k for a car that wasn’t for sale and it cost me 16k to get into a 2023 Mach-e, the dealer that wrecked my car wouldn’t even give me a good deal, I had to go somewhere else! The only part I’m thankful for is it didn’t fall on the man working on it, he was very upset and apologized for what happened to the car. I told him they make cars every day, there’s only one of you. I wonder if OSHA got the near miss report required by law! I’ll bet ford could care less, employees are made every day.
