Ring dash cam and power train malfunction error

I just got the newly released ring dash cam, installed it very easily and looks good. It stays in the obd port all the time and after the car shuts off powers down not long after. However in the week I had it I received a power train malfunction notice in my app. Are these Two related? Should I be worried about this malfunction and what does it specifically mean? Should I not use a dash cam?

Did you get the notification on your car too? Or just the app?

I've had the cam installed since the 17th. No problems so far. I do have it set to the lowest battery usage.

I received it in the app but I did have a "recommended service" light go on and thne turn off on the dash. I also have it on the lowest power setting. It may just be a coincidence, I do really like the cam.
