Road tar

So I managed to unknowingly splash my way through some wet road tar/oil on my way home from work one day, and I’ve got a bunch of hardened black tar splash marks hardened on the side of my car. Any tips on getting it off?

There are commercial products you can buy at any walmart or auto parts store that work great. Spray, let it sit for a few minutes, wipe off.

Second vote for Tarminator. Makes easy work of most tar stains. It’s essentially petroleum distillates in a spray can. Anything left hit with clay bar.

Almost forgot, you can finish off with a blow torch to remove any remaining residue.
