I am having my MME – GT bodywork done, Rear bumper replaced, passenger side back quarter panel reconditioned – – and wondering if anyone else has had done any body work – and what to look out for regarding sensors and recalibration of cameras? Seems that it’s awfully complicated once they take the impacted areas off the car.

As long as the 360 camera view and parking sensors and blind spot detection works when you get it back then it should be fine.

Part of the repair would include any recalibration as needed so that’s the responsibility of the body shop to make everything works like it should and you don’t need to concern yourself with the details. If the shop doesn’t have the proper equipment to do it they’ll likely sub it out to the local Ford dealer.

To be safe, address that question to the body shop.

I had repair done to front bumper, and the repair shop did take to Ford for calibration. I had no issues with the repair.
