I gave up on the preferred charge time and just plug it in at 9 PM (start of the power charge cost). Tired of the work around. I chalk it up to the beginnings of the new technology.
My power providers EV charge window is from midnight to 8 am. The workaround is not ideal but my commute is so short that if I forget once or twice or three times, I can still forget until the weekend when I'll be up at midnight anyway. ?

I had this happen to me when on the first day I brought my Mach-E home. I have an Enphase HCS-40 EVSE that supported my Chevrolet Volt of 10 years with room to grow. I fixed it by:
  1. Delete the preferred charge times from the app and in the center screen.
  2. Turn off walk-up or welcome lighting. (Walking near the car with your keys or phone also causes the EVSE to cycle.)
  3. Set your preferred charge time using the center screen.
In general, use only the center screen to change settings. Use the app only for lock, unlock, remote start, view status, and initiate charging.
I tried this, and it seemed promising as the charger went to a solid yellow(?) light, the car eventually showed no lights at the charge port, and the charge station wasn't cycling like it was before when preferred time/target charge were setup. However, it did not charge overnight on schedule and the app only indicates a generic 'Charging Error'.

I'm going with my gut and leaving this alone for now, until something official from Ford appears/gets pushed to either the app, car, or charge station via software update. Spending any bit of time or emotional energy in hoping this, that or the other works is waste IMHO. There's clearly an issue with how Ford's charge station is being implemented with charging schedules.

Last night was my first night with the FCSP. I had it set to start at 2300 No issues but I did notice when I looked at amount of time to charge first thing in morning it didn’t register. Then after I unplugged it, the data seemed to upload and it posted in the app.

I reset the charge time to start at midnight and end 0500. I’ll see how it is in the morning - second day with FCSP and update here

Follow up. It charged at midnight to 1:15. Got it to 90% like i scheduled it for. But this morning when I disconnected charger from port, the light on the FCSP turned solid white or light blue. Waited a few minutes and it didn’t do anything and my app couldn’t reach the server

Killed the breaker, waited about 5 minutes, breaker back on and blue solid lights. My app then could reach/read the FCSP.

I deleted my time to charge and will just plug in before I go to bed

I just have the Ford Mobile Charger but never had the issue you are describing. Hope Ford figures it out for you.

Out of interest, if your charger is pulling 48A, what is the size of the circuit breaker?
In the interest of transparency to help discern any other patterns (other than the FCSP being the common denominator), my Ford Charge Station Pro is limited to 48A (via the internal dial) and is hardwired to an 80 amp breaker which is in a 100 amp panel dedicated to my garage.

Mine is also dialed to “5” (48 amp) inside the FCSP and hard wired to a 60 amp breaker in a subpanel that is on a 80amp breaker in main panel. This is the only item and breaker in my subpanel

This isn't a power issue, otherwise the charge station would exhibit issues other times it's charging.

Isn't the car limited to 32A regardless of the setting on the wall box?

My Pro version was installed a week ago, and has only hiccuped on me once - showed a charge fault the next morning, but it was at 90% so it did charge. Since then, the preferred charging time has been functioning as it should. My rate drops at 9pm, but I have it set to start at 10pm. At 10 it starts like it is supposed to.

No, the Mach E has a 11.5kVA AC charger which means at 240V it can take 48A of current.

Same here. But it's 7pm for me.

I'll echo WEC's reponse and confirm that the Mach-e has a 48 amp limit on Level 2 AC charging. I don't know where it started but there are threads all over reddit stating INCORRECTLY that the limit is 32 amps.

I will add our vehicle to the ones exhibiting this issue. I may have time to experiment with it this weekend. We also have a 2025 F150 Lightning Flash that I have never set up preferred charging on so I will see if it behaves the same way as well. Hopefully this will be resolved; very surprised this isn't a mature feature; hasn't it been around for some years??

This issue has been happening for me for awhile now - I think it started around Feb. Prior to that - I never had an issue with preferred times and it was working as it should every night. I can't keep setting an alarm to get up at midnight to plug it in. Has anyone found a resolution?

Not to necro, but the optionally included mobile charger is limited to 32A when using the 240V plug. Obviously, a more capable EVSE allows 48A but this must be how the reddit threads started.
