Started to look for Shell chargers because I have never liked free Volta charging as they were very slow L2 chargers at stores, malls, shopping centers.Volta Charge has the highest concentration of its chargers in California, ......
Volta has a few DCFC.I thought this was a big-ish deal until I realized Volta is L2…meh.
Good to know. Actually read (I think) the GM network of L2 will also be "high" powered, like maybe 24 or 25 kWh? That to me is the sweet spot for L2.Volta has a few DCFC.
They are low power and setup in locations where you will naturally spend a longer period of time(shopping, restaurants) so the lower power is fine. Makes installation cheaper from an electrical supply perspective.
Not all DCFC need to be 350kW.
If you are spending 2-3 hours at the outlet mall, 50kW makes perfect sense.
