I am not sure to cancel or to resell it right after receiving the MACH-E delivery early next year.
What do you think ? thanks -Tom

Nobody knows what will happen next year. I wouldn’t count on being able to turn a profit. But you can wait and see what the market is like when it arrives and then decide.

No harm in waiting. I did the same thing with a Bronco this summer. Ordered exactly what I wanted, it was built and delivered. Took it for a test drive and decided eh, rather have a second MachE.

What got me was popping the hood and looking at the turbo setup and dip sticks. Oh ya, synthetic only. ? Not something I want to deal with for the next decade..

Just tread lightly. I have seen Values starting to drop in the last month or so. A friend reached out the other day and for their '21 Premium ER AWD with 10K was getting offers of $42K from online buying services. That's $20K less than last August. Vroom has a Select with Tech with 7K that's been for sale since January of 2022 and now listed for what they paid for it.

I also have seen Lightning auction results, just this week, that are basically at MSRP or slightly lower or ever so slightly above. Just 4 months ago over $100K-$115k. It's amazing you can snag one at MSRP with just a few hundred miles. I wish I could afford MSRP for a Lariat or Platinum. One is trying to Flip a past June purchase for $115K and it's at $82K closing today.

Man, if I knew the answer to that question I'd be wealthy enough not to worry about the answer to that question. What's the new/used car market going to be in 6 months? Insert giant shrug emoticon here.

You have it on order, so you can totally wait until it arrives to make that decision. For your own mental wellbeing, I think that's exactly what you should do.

Wow, here I am doing the opposite - going to sell my '22 Lightning Lariat to get a '23 MME Premium incoming.

Hoping I'd get back what I paid for the Lightning....
