Should I try to force HVBJB to fail?

I’ve done three crossings of this elevation in my spicy red car without any powertrain failures. An AC failure, but that seems to be a supplier defect from the factory, and was just a little unpleasant ? no other issues in 4,400mi so far…

Bummer about the AC failure! I will say that getting stranded in the 100º+ Central Valley temps were my biggest worry, but the HVBJB held and we made it the 200+ miles to our dealership without incident. (No tacos were involved in the repair which was completed in three days.)

How are the tires? Nearly gone? ??

Just replaced the summer tires that come on the car because I didn’t like them much (Goodyear F1) with Michelin PSAS4 which is the OE tire in Europe deliveries. I might have put it in ahem drift mode to give the summer tires a proper send off ??

serious bummer but my family are real troopers at this point and we enjoyed some open air motoring down to la in the new car, and took the substantially cooler 101 route back up. Fix took 2 days at a dealer and they paid for a polestar 2 rental so turned out to be not as big a deal as I worried about. Aside from that I’ve really enjoyed the car.
