Ford specifies that it is the fast charging and the full throttle accelerations which cause the problem with the HVBJB.
However, it seems that simply starting the car with the heater on high during very cold temperatures can also cause the problem.
Here, Quebec, Canada, we see very few people in the summer dealing with the problem. On the other hand, during the winter, every morning when it is very cold (-15C, 5F) there are posts on social media from people with car does not start and displays all the codes related to the HVBJB problem. Some may just have a 12V problem. But for many it happens even though the 12v is OK and the car is plugged in.
And that's exactly the problem I had on the 2021. On a very cold morning, when it was plugged in all night, the remote start refused to work. When I sat in the car to start it, all the codes appeared one after the other and the car would not start.
Car Scanner indicates that 12V is at 83%. And strangely, the HVB is -10C. It should be approximately between -5C and 5C as the car has been plugged in all night and normally therefore keeps the HVB at a warmer temperature.
Anyway, she left on the tow truck. The dealer confirmed the next day that the problem was the HVBJB. Parts have been on order for 3 weeks. So I have no idea when I will get my car back.
All this to say that it seems that the problem can also happen without doing fast charging or doing any full throttle accelerations.
