I'm about to take a road trip and worry about possible problems that a pending software update might cause. Today when I went to turn off the car I got a screen that said a 50 minute software update was scheduled to be installed overnight. The update appears to be related to eye tracking for Blue Cruise. Well, I don't use and don't even subscribe to Blue Cruise, so is there any way I can make this update go away? Or is my only option to turn off all automatic updates?

I’d just let it do what it’s supposed to do, lie back & think of England (or your local equivalent) ?

I've been seeing a 'reschedule' button under the software update notifications, maybe you could use that to delay the update until after your trip.

Reschedule allows you to pick a different day of the week and hour of the day to do automatic updates. It allows you to push an update out by up to a week. But there is no way to skip or avoid a specific update that you may not want or need. And it appears that you have to do the current update before the next one in the pipeline becomes available to download.

Turn off automatic updates until you get back home. When you get home either turn automatic updates back on or press the update now button. The update should still be waiting for you unless you wait a considerable period of time.

That's probably the BlueCruise 1.3 update, I personally would want that installed before taking a long road trip due to the better steering. But you can turn updates off if you want.

Thanks for everyone's advice. I decided to let the updates run. Yesterday my 2023 MME got five updates, the most I have ever gotten in one day.
