Mercedes has the double tap brake to hold as well. Would be a nice feature to have. Lately I've been thinking more and more about how some of these driving habits will have to change once I get my EV and pulling in to the garage is one that immediately pops to mind. It's a very tight fit and I use a laser mounted on the ceiling pointed through my windshield onto the dash to line myself up. I have to creep very slowly to get it just right. I feel like I'd rather press the brake than fully release the accelerator in situations like this. Parking (both parallel and perpendicular) would also be a case for slow creeping. But I want the hold to work when stopped at a multi-minute light. A quick and easy way to alternate between these 2 behaviors would be nice, whether it was a dedicated auto-hold button (either physical or on the main touchscreen) or the double tap brake option.

What I gather from this thread is we need a quicker way to toggle auto hold, instead of going through (slow) menus. I 100% agree, especially since the MME's auto hold is really quite jerky if you want to get off the line quickly at a light, for example. So, give us a faster way to toggle auto hold, and/or smoother brake release from auto hold when hitting the go pedal.

If you press "L" doesn't that kind of simulate 1PD and possibly prevent you from creeping at a stop if 1PD is off?

A way to not have it auto hold at EVERY stop EVERY time without having to dig through the menu system to disable the feature. A quick double tap on the brake pedal. Boom, hold for that stop... That's how Porsche does it.

Edit: Changed spelling of peddle/pedal, wow I need coffee.
I guess that begs the question: Why don't you want it to hold every time?
