I'd like to know this too. You know, it's funny: 11 pages of almost instantaneous "yep I got this" posts but no one bothers to offer any input on your question after four days.
That is because there are no new features. That is why the release notes don't say much. It is a prep update (an update needed for future updates). It does not change anything that is visible or apparent to the users.

But get excited about the next update! Because that one will blow your doors off.

I received the update last week, and now the remote start function is flaky. It fails at least once or twice before finally starting.

It’s gotten super annoying. I use it daily. Or I used to use it daily until the last update.

what’s most annoying is the fact that Ford developers fix/improve one thing and break a bunch of other stuff

I really want this update just so I can use the public charging app while driving on upcoming road trips.

This whole update method they use is really unacceptable, mine is built in Nov '23 and still will not update to this.

Welcome to 2021, the update process has been the same since then. Get ready to wait!! If you're waiting for an OTA update you'll get those when Ford decides to push it to your VIN.

You cannnot pull an OTA from Ford (but you can update the software manually if you want to buy the equipment and software license for FDRS).

Really ridiculous.

Ford is doing the latest CSB for mine Weds, maybe they can bring everything up to date at that time?

Is 10.1.1 the update that enables the car to do preconditioning using Android Auto?

I have been using AA Google maps exclusively since that update, and it even preconditioned when I was routing to a L2 EVSE. That was good, but also bad because Google Maps said I would arrive with 6% charge. Which I did.

Maybe at that low a SoC, the battery should be preconditioned using the EVSE instead of my precious range. I made it, and thankfully one public L2 was available. If it had been free there is no way it would have been available. Free charging sucks.

Did anyone else lose the functionality of the auto folding mirrors after this update? I have updated the setting for auto folding mirrors but after the car is turned off, the setting is reset and doesn't work.

I have found that any time I touch the mirror setting the car forgets what I want. I'm not sure if I have give the car time to apply the setting or not since it's usually something I do right before I turn off my car. It's a minor but irritating quirk.

I've only had my car a few weeks, and have had 10.1.1 from the start, but they've never worked right for me.

I use PAAK, I have auto fold set up, but they don't fold, if I fold them they don't unfold when I restart. I just had an iOS updated a couple days ago that broke my PAAK for the day, so I used the fob and the mirrors did auto fold, but did not open back up on restart.

No matter what I try I've never seen my puddle ponies either...

After reading your post about t using the fob to make the auto fold work, I decided to reset PAAK. After i did the reset, the auto fold started working again and actually PAAK overall started working a lot better too.
