SOLVED - Climate control issue

Hello,

I have a 2021 Mach e First Edition. My frunk didn't open from the Ford app or the tablet, so I went to the dealership to update my SYNC.

They solved my issue (for 220€ 🙃) and now my climate control is not starting from the app.

The car tries to start, my blinkers blink, and the car honks 3 times... And that's it.

I really don't want to go back there... So I hope someone can help me with this issue.

* The remote start is activated on the tablet.

Solved: Disconnected the 12v battery for 20minutes and now everything works.

What did the dealership do to fix your Fruck issue with the Ford app?

Have you force closed and cleared the cache on the ford app, uninstalled/reinstalled the ford app? Any depending software updates for the Ford app and/or the car?

You can do the pulling of the fuse, i think its Fuse 21, and the disconnecting of the 12v battery for 10 plus minutes to see if that helps.

if none of that works. Time to take it to the dealership.

From the research i've done, there is an communication issue between the Ford app and the modem. Could also be an issue with Ford servers but I would think you would get some kind of time out message or something related to communication error.

You can go into the "hidden" menu and you can see if modem is working. I believe its left seek button and volume down for 30 seconds. The first section will show if there is any authenication errors with the modem. If you do not see any failures, then the modem, in theory, should be good.

Nothing unusual in the diag menu. Also, all my distance functions are working well ☹

What other issues does disconnecting the 12v battery cause?
I've got a 2021 2nd edition & have the same symptoms when I try to use the Ford app to start the climate controls.

Just wanted to say the battery reset didnt work for me but what did work was resetting PaaK. i deleted the car from the App and did a full factory reset of the Fordpass. then i rescanned my Vin and reconnected and it seems to have resolved the issue for me!
