Hopeful for some insight from the Mach-E brain trust

picked up my 23 Premium last month. It had been a loaner that sat on the dealer’s lot for a bit.

Right away, I got several updates, the last being “priority update - smart changes. 23-PU1113-unx-dc. That was March 22nd.
Nothing since then and I still have the old icons and don’t have the new stereo controls.

any idea how to get the rest of the update?

thanks. Scottie and Buzz

Good news is you are successfully getting updates. Don't sweat it. So far, updates don't come quickly in Ford EVs. If you aren't in the Early Access Program you may be a few more weeks before you get the next one.

Same here. Got the 23 mach-e in march and got an update march 14 with the
23-PU1113-UNX-DC. Then nothing, no tesla charging update, new home icon or stereo.
did you get any update now or is it still the same?

I’ve got a 23 GT last time I think I got updates were in February, so this week took it to the dealer, not the dealer I bought my car from because they don’t like to touch anything electric, but they don’t mind selling them. So this dealer says it’s under warranty, over the updates are covered by the warranty and here’s your free loaner, only thing is if we keep the vehicle for more than 10 days, you’ll have to pay $45 a day rental.

Was there something actually wrong with the car beyond a lack of updates?

If there’s nothing amiss to cause a lack of updates, then there’s a good possibility you’ll have to pay for the updates to be applied by the dealer. In that event it just means that your car hasn’t had its number called for OTAs lately.

Well, it’s already been written up and it’s already been taken care of as far as warranty. The only thing they would charge me for would be if they did a diagnostics which he said they’re highly doubtful. They’re gonna do that and everything’s already been taken care of. I’ve already been assured of I’m not gonna argue with it. I was ready to pay for it upfront and everything but I want my business. I don’t know.

Hang on to that dealer, they appear to be going beyond what they are required to do. Just be aware that the OTAs do not roll out all at once. The rollout methodology is a bit “odd.”

I’m thankful to some of the guys on here that provided me a spreadsheet where it showed the updates sent to me and failing and statements like everything they looked at the car should be getting the update so that helped as well. They’re a good dealer I’ve never bought a car from them. I’ve only brought cars to them that I bought from somebody else and they always take care of me so I feel kind of obligated to buy my next car from them.

Well, I got an update this morning on my vehicle. It appears to be a defective RFA module. I’m not gonna try to spell it out, but that is what’s causing my car from not getting the updates according to the technician and speaking with Ford. So they’re going to, order the part and told me to enjoy the truck shouldn’t take but a couple of days to get that part in and installed. So it’s all covered under the bumper-to-bumper warranty, and they did not have to run or if they did run diagnostics they’re not gonna charge me for that so I’m glad they found something wrong. That answers questions why mine wasn’t working. The service tech looked up issues with the RFA and it did point to the problem. I’m having. This is where I get my anxiety now. I put this out there what was wrong and I’m sure because I’m not an expert on any of this. I’m gonna get some pushback saying that’s a bunch of BS or hopefully it’s more like thanks for sharing that that could answer some questions for other people.
Update parts arrive Tuesday!
