I had 2 very bad, almost inexplicable, instances where Blue Cruise thought the speed limit was 85, and actually changed my set speed to 85! This happened once on Rt 15 and one night driving home on Rt 8 it happened 4 times!! When I got home I turned the speed sign recognition off and it hasn't happened again. But I have not driven the same highways again, either.
I say it is almost inexplicable because first, there were no 85 mph speed limit signs. But much more surprising is that the car set the speed to 85 mph! That was crazy! The reason it was so noticeable is because the car accelerated very quickly those 5 times (it had been set to 70, the going rate of most of the traffic). It was almost like I had floored the car! Also, in my previous experience with Blue Cruise it shuts itself off over 82 mph.
I haven't seen this speeding up mentioned before. Is it a known bug?
That does seem odd, when mine is on BC and it picks up a rogue speed limit it accelerates or decelerates at the normal rate that is about perfect, no surprise and plenty of time to adjust.

That's one thing I really like about this car, you can hit the cruise at a low speed and it accelerates about perfect. Most of my other vehicles you do that and you drop some gears and it's off to the races.

I know a lot of people don't like this feature, but out here in the middle of nowhere it actually works quite good going through all the small towns and such. Last night in the 4 degree cold kept getting a message that the sign recognition part of the adaptive cruise was not working. Most times it would show the speed as you pass a sign, sometimes it didn't show any speed limit just dashes. Where is the camera for this located? I suspect it is reading GPS now instead of the signs. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
For whatever reason the last couple of days everything has been working as it had in the past. Maybe the windshield had fogged over in front of the camera, but we drove for 3 hours so I doubt that's the case. I'll say one thing about this rig, every now and then it has a bug or glitch but it usually heals itself one way or the other. For a 21 it's been very reliable.
