I am having an issue with the Speed Limit Sign recognition. The system appears to recognize bridge weight limit signs as a Speed limit sign. On one highway with a 60 MPH speed limit there is a bridge weight limit sign for 40 Tons. The MME slows down to 40 at this sign, until the next real Speed Limit sign is passed.

If it makes you feel better, our Volvo speed sign recognition was just as bad. Often interpreting the I-5 signs as 15 mph zones... I used the adaptive cruise control once in that thing.

Yes if you search the forum I seem to recall you will find some harrowing stories of Route signs being recognized as speed limits…

Haha, it kinda looks like a speed limit sign? I hate it when it gets the "Speed limit 5" sign when you pass a parking entrance.

You gotta peel your cluster protection film!

I feel like people use these features more as autonomous than what they are, assistance features, I know what to expect with it and know why it does what it does and move on, just click the speed back up with the toggle on the left of the steering wheel and get back to driving

Yeah this feature isn't all that great. Yesterday I was dropping my son off at school at he said "why does the car say speed limit 70?".
I checked and there was a 10Mph limit sign in the parking lot. Made me chuckle.

It's a terrible feature that isn't ready to be on the cars, in my opinion.

I turned it off after it read a truck speed limit sign and unexpectedly dropped my speed while I was on the interstate.

Hot take - I use the feature ALL THE TIME and love it. Very handy.

A while back I posted a thread about how there was a section with incorrect map data (not even a speed limit sign) that caused a slow down on the freeway. That's since been fixed with the new BC map from 5.1.1 ! Even before it was fixed I still used it. (just turned off BC for that section of freeway)

It has saved me from countless speed traps when driving through small towns along highways. Love love love that
