Speed warning won’t turn off

I have not tested this - but this is what I just advised by Ford Chat

We are working on a solution. In the meantime, you can re-gain access to the full functionality of speed limit recognition by temporarily disabling Intelligent Suggestions in the customer's profile. Please follow these steps:
1.Make sure the vehicle is parked, running, and in a well ventilated and safe area.

I don’t dare to turn on the speed warning to find out… does enabling this setting cause an eye nanny type of alarm when you go over the speed limit or something? I didn’t see what it did in any of the posts I read, although I didn’t read through every one.

Oh, I guess I do have that enabled.. I am mostly oblivious to it now. The car had it on when I received it so I never thought about it… great now I’m ruined!

So, I tried the above procedure and just like PL281, it did not work. I kept pressing all around the settings!!!! when I turned the car off, I a saw a message stating that MyKey was preventing some of the settings from changing..

Hum, I don't have a MyKey enabled, just 2 admin keys, so I create a NEW MyKey, and the setting DID NOT WORK after I setup the MyKey. So, I then delete the MyKey, and though hummm Profiles, lets stop using the Profiles. Turned PROFILES OFF - AND WHOA, the default for No Profile is Speed Sign Warning is OFF

FIXED FOR ME, Since I only had 1 profile anyway.

Now, Just so you know, I STOPPED short of testing it further, and didn't take one for the team and re-enable it, because I was afraid it would get buggered up again.

So, I think this might be some software problem with the profiles and the MyKey Speed Minder settings..

I tried all that (except deleting all profiles) a few weeks ago and it didn’t fix the problem. I don’t recall if I tried deleting my profile in the process, but I don’t think so. I might give this a try and see what happens………

I have a fix for this, create a new profile without deleting the existing one. You will need to reset all your radio stations but that seems to fix the issue. It’s almost like even if you delete and re-create the original profile it’s still in slot number one let’s say, and therefore it’s not Deleting that option.

That did not work. The newly created profile has speed warning set. I then removed profile one, created it again and the speed warning was still there.
Waiting for Ford to fix this.

Yep, didn't work for me either. Had to stop using Profiles all together to get it to stop.

Interesting - When I created the new profile (while the existing profile was still in the car) it started with it disabled - even the lane departure was disabled - you actually get a full "bar" for the SOC vs just the percentage with it disabled

Thanks for the information, folks. I was facing this issue since few weeks and Ford service center had no clue how to solve this. I deleted the profiles and added new one again and it worked for me! Not going to turn on this feature ever again!

Hi, I wanted to report back here that the issue was solved with update 4.6.2

I could disable it when I received 4.1.2.

Tried deleting profiles, reseting vehicles an so on. Nothing worked so far.

In Europe updates updates take longer. Right know mi current power up version is 4.2.1.2. I got it since august.

It might take ages to recieve update 4.6.2!!

I'm gonna have to stand the annoying bell for a lot longer.
