That’s the answerThe volume is a rocker switch in between the volume up and down labels, which you toggle up or down with your thumb to change the volume, similar to the speed up/down toggle for the cruise control on the left side of the steering wheel.
Haha, yeah. I also have a hybrid Toyota Highlander, and it has the audio controls on the left side of the steering wheel and the cruise and driver assistance controls on the right side of the steering wheel. Whenever I drive the Highlander these days (which isn't very often), I am all twisted up!Amazing. Since the button was labeled "OK" and pushes in to clear dashboard messages, who would have thought to toggle it for volume? I guess everyone but me. My 2013 gassy Mustang you push in on the buttons labeled "Volume+,-". I'm so confused.
Do you turn it or toggle it?You can also turn the big main knob on the screen
Turning it will change the volume, and if you press in the center that will mute it.Do you turn it or toggle it?
Yeah, you aren't alone in this. I have a Lightning with buttons, and every time I get in the MME, I need to reprogram myself to work the volume. It hasn't gone away after 3 years. The big knob worksAmazing. Since the button was labeled "OK" and pushes in to clear dashboard messages, who would have thought to toggle it for volume? I guess everyone but me. It was a joke. I'm stupid, but not that stupid.Turning it will change the volume, and if you press in the center that will mute it.
Please note though that this control is used for multiple adjustments.
The default though is to change the volume.
For instance, if you press the fan button and then turn the knob, it will control the fan speed, but it also times out on this pretty fast. I have had multiple times where I'm trying to change the fan speed and instead end up changing the volume.
Another thing that controls is the "Calm Screen". If you press the knob in for a second or two the Calm Screen will come on.
I'm sorry, as you can see sometimes I miss the obvious. It was a joke. I'm stupid, but not that stupid.

Definitely can be confusing. But there's a plus above and minus below the OK button to indicate that that is the direction on which to push the OK toggle switch. Those are not buttons, but directional signs.Amazing. Since the button was labeled "OK" and pushes in to clear dashboard messages, who would have thought to toggle it for volume?
