Update: And exiting out of car, locking and unlocking it fixed it. Though curios to know what caused this and is it a sign of near future failure?

Send VIN please. Contactors may have gotten stuck or a low 12V battery.

Sure I can, how would a VIN help? Is there a way to lookup a VIN for possible issues?

Thanks. This is a new one for me, it says your battery temperature was too low (below -40Âş), which disabled the HVB. If you live in Washington state (more like +30Âş there), I think that's impossible because it doesn't get that cold there. So you would have a failed temperature sensor in the pack that's going off-scale low.

The codes have disappeared now, so it's an intermittent problem. Unfortunately I don't think the dealer is going to be able to do anything if the fault won't stick around long enough for diagnosis.

BECM codes P0C43 and P0AFD

Thank you for debugging this for me. The temperature was definitely below 40, ~30 - 35 all day. Makes sense that sensor may have picked wrong reading. Do we know where that sensor is located?

Inside the battery pack. Can’t be more specific without diagnostics.

I hope it doesn’t happen again, but if it does, you’ll probably need to get it towed to the dealer and hope it’s still broken when it gets there.
